CORRI LA VITA: 21 Years of Impact

The Greatest Charity Cultural Walk in the world, Returns on September 24th

The 21st edition of CORRI LA VITA, the renowned cultural charity walk supporting women affected by breast cancer will take place on September 24th. This extraordinary event brings together sport, culture, and the spirit of solidarity in the heart of Florence.

CORRI LA VITA, meaning “run for life”, invites participants to join nearly 40,000 people for a remarkable cultural walk or run through the historic center of Florence. The journey begins at the majestic Parco delle Cascine and culminates in the iconic Piazza della Signoria, under the gaze of Bartolomeo Ammannati’s statue Biancone.

Participants can choose between two routes: the 11 km running route for the more athletic or a 6 km walking route. Prepare to be enchanted as both routes meander through Florence’s rich tapestry of historical landmarks, breathtaking vistas, and the timeless allure that defines this remarkable city.

In support of CORRI LA VITA which has now become a local institution, participants will have exclusive access to museums and exhibitions who will graciously open their doors for free. Private palazzi and gardens, typically off-limits, will welcome the public for this special day, provided they wear the official charity T-shirt or present a donation of 10 euros.

To be a part of this exceptional event, sign up starting September 1st on the website, www.corrilavita.it. A minimum donation of 10 euros made online grants you a coveted T-shirt, created each year by Ferragamo for CORRI LA VITA.

Founded in 2003 and led by Eleonora Frescobaldi, CORRI LA VITA is a non-competitive sporting event that has raised and distributed over 8 million euros throughout the years. With the support of over 400,000 participants, the event has provided vital assistance to more than 500,000 women affected by breast cancer. Donations have facilitated the acquisition of cutting-edge testing instruments, implemented essential programs, reduced waiting lists, and offered psychological support.

Renowned figures from around the world have stood in solidarity with CORRI LA VITA by proudly wearing the distinctively designed T-shirt, which changes color annually. Among the notable supporters are Hugh Grant and Rupert Everett, Andrea Bocelli, Monica Bellucci, Kristin Scott Thomas, Valentino Rossi, Sting, and Trudy Styler, esteemed residents of Tuscany.

Eleonora Frescobaldi, Chairwoman of the CORRI LA VITA ONLUS Association, expressed her gratitude, stating, ” Each year we set ourselves new goals and challenges that we manage to achieve thanks to the love of the people and the support of our sponsors who have been gathering for 21 years in the streets of Florence to be at the side of women who fight the most important challenge of their lives every day: defeating breast cancer”.

All participants are invited to capture and share their experiences by posting photos and stories on social media using the official hashtags #corrilavita2023, #clv2023, and #corrilavita23, while tagging @corrilavita
